This is the final workshop in a 4-week series on the unique experience of grief in the Black community. This workshop will facilitated by Gregory Jones of The Color of Grief and Oceana Sawyer will feature Baba Awo Ifamuwagun, Omisade Burney-Scott, and Richael Faithful. Each of these elders and/or members of African-derived spiritual traditions will elucidate the role and value of spirituality for the process of grieving for African American people. One of the many questions we’ll be exploring is how does our understanding of Black tradition hurt or help the process.
